Urs Fischer

Urs Fischer is a Swiss artist active in New York City. He studied photography in Zurich and had his first solo show there in 1996. He has since had exhibitions at major institutions across Europe and the United States including: Kunsthaus Zurich (2004); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2004); New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York (2009–10); The Brant Foundation, Greenwich, Connecticut (2010–11); Palazzo Grassi, Venice (2012), as well as the Biennale di Venezia in 2003, 2007, and 2011; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2013). His work is included in many public and private collections worldwide.
