Sandra Davolio (Italian, b. 1951, active Denmark, 1974-present)

Sandra Davolio, born in Correggio (Reggio Emilia) Italy in 1951, has lived in Denmark since 1974. She studied at the Danish School of Design in Copehagen, finishing her degree in 1985. A member of the Danske Kunsthandvaerkere, a group of artist-craftsmen devoted to handcrafted work, she has maintained her studio in Copenhagen since 1985.

She has taught in a certamics school- the Lundtofte GI. Skole Keramikvaerkstedet, Lyngby-Taarbaek, and Studio Pandora in Sorano Italy.

Davolio has exhibited in various design fairs and museums, and her work is represented in the National Museum in Stockhold, Sweden, the Design Museum Danmark, in Copenhagen, the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza Italy, the Grassi Museum in Leipzig, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, among others.
