Raw Color is a cross-disciplinary designed studio based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. It was founded in 2008 by Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar, who graduated from the Design Academy, Eindhoven, in 2007.
Their research-based work combines graphic design, photography, and color theory. Their designs have been commissioned by Philips Design Probes, the TextielMuseum Tilburg, art publisher Onomatopee, fashion label Ontour, and interior architecture firm Merkx+Girod. Their research projects have been showcased at the Museum of Applied Art Frankfurt, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Designhuis Eindhoven, Otrascosas de Villarrosàs Barcelona, and Salone del Mobile Milan. Raw Color’s work for Onomatopee was included in the Best Dutch Book Designs 2010, and was shortlisted for the Best Book Design in the World prize, given at the Leipzig book fair, in 2011.
Brach and ter Haar have taught at the Design Academy Eindhoven since 2011, and have been appointed as visiting teachers at the HKU Utrecht.
