Glass and cast iron building (The New York Crystal Palace) within large circular frame. Clusters of people on Palace grounds. Atop this is a spread eagle perched on shield of stars and stripes. Flanking eagle are unfurled flags of U.S. and other nations. At bottom center is globe on banner reading “New York Crystal Palace 1853,” below which are a spray of flowers and a palm frond. Six fleurs-de-lys edge bottom of frame. Printed in grey, coral and green “rainbow” stripes, white and brown on a blue ground which has been applied to both sides of paper.
