Towel End, 19th century

Broad lower towel end with a border of drawn work with animals confronting initials “M.I.D.” under coronet and with floral and bird frame; symmetrical flower motif on each end. Broad geometrical guard bands n embroidery and drawn work. Deep macramé lower edge attached by band. Two plain selvages.
