Textile (Guatemala), 1925–50

Square panel made of three breadths of plain weave, brocaded. Closely set horizontal rows of stylized human and bird figures. Large dots brocaded in thick multi-ply cotton yarns in white, red, yellow on dark blue ground. Plain selvage of either side of each length slightly heavier than ground fabric. Loom-finished on top and bottom.
