Heavy natural-colored cotton printed with a straight repeat of a crude block printed design. Picotage ground with a seated man with a bird perched on a finger, child at knee, standing woman with a basket on her head, and a large dog in the background. Costumes show late Empire style. Figures are encircled by large flower blossoms. Colors are strong with red, purple, blue, buff, and black. Brilliant flower cluster between repeats of group. Block edge is clearly visible.
