Textile (Albania), late 19th–early 20th century

Horizontal bands of varying widths in heavy white cotton wefts alternating with bands of a much finer open weave with yellow silk wefts. Warp is fine white cotton threads. Three geometric bands embroidered at each end in white cotton with touches of red cotton, yellow silk, gray wool, grouped fine silk threads. Short twisted warp fringe at each end.
