Tapa Cloth (Samoa), 1895

Panel with border on all four sides. Design of white diamonds with toothed edges, stylized bird in center of diamonds. Inner border of stylized “butterfly”. Center section is plain except for simple row of alternating toothed diamonds with toothed triangles in black and brown.
