Print, Knots, ca. 1506

On a black circular ground, a pattern of continuous knots, forming six roundels with open centers around a seventh, in which are the artist’s initials (in monogram). From the circle, at the four corners of the plate are stylized tree forms, in black, on which are further knots and tendrils.
