Hand-woven Sample (USA), before 1953

Handwoven sample for plain-weave cloth with white silk warp and weft of undyed wool. The wool is hand-spun with great variation in thickness, giving a “slubbed” quality to the fabric. Narrow band at top and bottom of plain weave with undyed cotton weft.
