Hand-woven Sample (USA), before 1953

Handwoven sample with a subtle horizontal stripe of black and white mixed yarns. The warp is of off-white silk; the weft alternates two sheds of off-white plied silk yarns with three sheds of yarn which is a combination of black and white silk threads, untwisted. Narrow band top and bottom of plain weave with off-white cotton weft.
