The body of the lamp is a blue porcelain vase with a central field in the form of an oval containg a bust-length portrait of a woman. The portrait is enclosed in a bronze frame, flanked by garlands which are tied to the bronze handle mounts. Bronze base and fixture above holding a glass globe (partly shown.)
